Updated procedure for 2013 gives SKUSA racers opportunity to lock-in Vegas entry

TEMECULA, CA (June 13, 2013) – Without a doubt, the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals in Las Vegas is the biggest sprint karting event in the world. This coming November, with the exciting addition of the Rotax Junior and DD2 categories, race attendance is expected to top the 575-driver mark. With each class size restricted to a pre-set maximum of either 40 or 80 spots, simply gaining entry into the event will be a competitor’s first victory. SKUSA is once again taking steps to ensure that its core customers will get the first chance to enter through their Priority Pre-Entry Program. Drivers who run in all of their ProKart Challenge races up to July 1, or who raced in the Pro Tour’s SpringNationals and are pre-entered in the SummerNationals by July 1, will be provided with special access to enter ahead of the official opening of SuperNationals registration on August 1.
“We’ve designed our SuperNationals Priority Pre-Entry process to be very straight-forward, but we’re still going to do our best to detail the procedure for our drivers so that they’ll be able to successfully take advantage of it,” offered Tom Kutscher, Superkart! USA President. “There are simple steps for our racers to take to make sure that they’ll be part of this year’s SuperNationals, because when we open registration to the public on August 1st, we’re expecting a flood of entries. It’s going to be a huge event this year – especially with the addition of the Rotax classes to commemorate the running of the Rotax Grand Finals in America – AND the free transfer spots for the winners to the 2014 Rotax Grand Finals. Needless to say, all available spots are going to go quickly.”
The initial step of the Pre-Entry Program is qualification, which is based solely on regional or national participation in Superkarts! USA events in the eight SKUSA core classes. The goal of this effort is to provide SKUSA’s core customer base with the first opportunity to ensure their attendance in the sport’s biggest events. With the cutoff date set for July 1, the SKUSA Pro Tour is the first opportunity for qualification into the Pre-Entry Program. All drivers who competed in the SpringNationals in Tucson and have pre-entered into the SummerNationals by July 1 will be included in the Pre-Entry program. On the ProKart Challenge regional level, participation in all of the available PKC races up to July 1 will also qualify a racer into the program.
The following lists detail the Pro Tour or PKC races that need to be completed for a driver to become eligible for the Priority Pre-Entry Program:

Once qualified, SKUSA racers must visit www.superkartsusa.com to fill out a custom form to register for pre-entry eligibility (between July 1 and July 8). Once SKUSA receives this form and confirms eligibility, they will prepare and send the competitor an e-mail (between July 8 and July 15) that will include the special instructions on how to enter the race. Drivers who are eligible for the Priority Pre-Entry program will be given the exclusive registration window from July 15 to July 28 to secure their entry with payment for the SuperNationals. This Priority Pre-Entry window closes on July 28, and then the official SuperNationals online registration will open to the public on August 1 at 12:01a.m. (PDT). The SKUSA office staff will utilize the three days in between to properly prepare the inventory in the online store.
“In addition to our North American racers, we always have a great deal of interest from international competitors, and to ensure that they have enough time to arrange travel documents, we will open SuperNationals registration to the public on August 1,” confirmed Kutscher. “It is my hope that our SKUSA racers will take full advantage of this special Priority Pre-Entry program so that they’ll be able to be a part of the festivities in Vegas this fall.”
Once again, here’s the three-step plan for SKUSA racers to follow to make sure they’ll be part of this year’s SuperNationals:
1. Participate in all available events – To be eligible, drivers must either (a) race in all of their regional ProKart Challenge events up until July 1, or (b) have raced in the SpringNationals and be pre-entered in the SummerNationals by July 1.
2. Register online for Pre-Entry Eligibility – Drivers who have made themselves eligible by running in the required events must then visit www.superkartsusa.com to register for the Priority Pre-Entry Program. It is this communication that will put racers on the list to receive the next part of the Pre-Entry Process.
3. Use One-Time Link Entry Form to Enter Event – Racers who have submitted their eligibility form on the SKUSA website, and who have had their event participation confirmed, will receive a custom email with their own dedicated instructions for entering the event through a one-time use entry form link. They must simply follow these instructions between July 15 and July 28 to be officially entered in the race before registration is opened to the public on August 1.
SKUSA has already begun planning for this year’s SuperNationals, which will again take place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino on November 20-24, 2013. All 11 eleven classes – which will include the eight SKUSA core classes, the two Rotax classes, and KZ2 – should be close to sell-outs this season as the SKUSA program continues to strengthen, thanks to the growth and stability of the ProKart Challenge regional platform and record numbers on the Pro Tour.
