Dallas, OR- The IKF NW Gold Cup Series brings their second round of Regional Touring Kart racing action to Boise, ID this coming weekend May 24,25,26. Hosted by the Snake River Karters, Round two of the series with feature karting’s best NW drivers and race teams on one fo the sports last remaining TRUE sprint tracks.
The NWGC series is excited to bring the second round of the Gold Cup to Boise, ID to compete on the unique, one of a kind last true style tracks left in the United States. It’s downhill, tight and twisty off camber turns, and wheel to wheel 19 second lap times, provides close and exciting racing for both fans and drivers alike.
Host club Snake River Karters have made special efforts to make this a great event with a club sponsored Barbeque after the racing action on Saturday and warm welcome to all the racers who make the trip the Glen Morgan race track. As always the club members make you feel like you are right at home.
The Gold Cup Series will stop in three states and one international country, when it makes its yearly stop at the Greg Moore Raceway in Chilliwack, B.C. in August of this year. Expect division, with ages ranging from 5 to 60.
The Gold Cup also hosts a shifter kart division, which features 125cc powered machines complete with gearboxes that will reach speeds of 70 plus mph, and a must to see. The old school track demands quick reflexes, pinpoint accuracy and a disciplined mind to survive.
Wheel to wheel action is not only plentiful, but almost guaranteed in both the two and four cycle classes. It’s blend of history & nostalgia meeting modern day technology make the racing unique and fiercely competitive and is not just your normal modern day regional karting event.
Not for the faint of heart…it is ALL THE WAY, ALL DAY racing action from start to finish. The track tests a drivers true “Up on the wheel” capabilities.
