For team Italian Motors USA, preparations are well underway for the opening round of the Superkarts! USA Pro tour in Tucson, Arizona. Italian Motors USA is set for 2013 with perhaps the strongest contingent of drivers on the grid. As one of the most successful teams for developing young drivers and launching careers in the motorsports world, Italian Motors USA/Italkart USA continues the tradition for 2013.
The TaG Sr. class will be led by veteran Michael Valiante and SuperNationals champion Andre Nicastro. In addition, SKUSA Tag Sr. Championship runner-up/race winner and Pirelli World Challenge driver Remo Ruscitti is sure to be in contention for a win. Floridian Dan Roeper has posted a slew of impressive results on his home turf, and Scott Hargrove will be looking to repeat his USF2000 wins on the SKUSA level. Both Jamie McAllister and Ron Hyde will also be joining Italian Motors for the race. From Brazil, Nicastro will be accompanied by Yurik Carvalho who will compete in the TaG Jr. class. After placing 6th in TAG Jr at the SuperNationals, Carvalho returned to his busy racing schedule in Brazil. In Tucson, he hopes to build on his SKUSA success with a good result. Don McGregor will represent the team on his Italkart shifter in S4 and will look to improve on his raw speed shown at the SKUSA SuperNationals.
All drivers will no doubt benefit from the IM Tuning engine tuning program led now by Kris Rodal (which is available to anyone who runs the Parilla Leopard), as well as the enlistment of a former Champ Car data engineer Luke Goldenstein. Luke’s experience working with drivers in Champ car and more recently ALMS will bring a whole new level of experience to the team. The feedback and information shared amongst the drivers will be invaluable.
Italian Motors USA will also be on hand supporting all Parilla Leopard customers and displaying the 2013 Italkart Rapido V. Stop by and visit!
