Colorado-based operation to welcome Italian CRG driver as team manager/driver coach for November 14-18 event in Las Vegas
GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO (October 19, 2012) – Team CRG-USA is preparing for its second Superkarts! USA SuperNationals event after establishing itself just 16 months ago. The Colorado-based operation will double its driver roster number with 23 pilots confirmed for the 16th running of the Las Vegas event, set for parking lot of the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Over-looking the Vegas Strip, over 500 drivers will converge to compete in nine categories. To compliment the talented CRG-USA staff and mechanics to assist the many drivers under the tent, the operation has brought in four-time Karting World Champion Davide Foré as Team Manager/Driver Coach for the event.
“There is nothing that can be said that hasn’t already about Davide Foré,” commented CRG-USA owner Stacey Cook. “His name is renowned within the world of karting and probably is among the best drivers ever in the sport. Thanks to our direct relationship with the CRG factory, we were able to bring Davide in for the SuperNationals to work with the Team CRG-USA drivers throughout the week. There is no doubt his knowledge and expertise will be beneficial for all under our tent, and we hope it will translate into a number of podiums and championships as we wrap up the SKUSA Pro Tour.”
Foré is among the most decorated drivers in the sport of karting, and continues today to compete at the top level of the sport at the age of 38. The Italian won the Karting World Championship four times (1998, 2000, 2004 and 2006), one short of the record set by British driver Mike Wilson. Foré has competed at the SKUSA SuperNationals twice in his career, placing a best finish of fourth in the 2007 edition of the SuperPro category. Davide has been competing and working with CRG and affiliated brands since 2007, and brings over 30 years experience of competing in karts.
“It's a great satisfaction for me to be present at the SKUSA SuperNationals XVI in Las Vegas as driver coach and supervisor for CRG-USA,” added multi-time world champion Davide Foré. “I thank Stacey Cook and his entire team because they have asked me personally to attend this event that is very important for the American and European market. This will be a very important chance to improve my professional experience in addition to my profession as a driver. I will do all I can to make myself useful for Team CRG-USA. It will give me great satisfaction to help all the team drivers toward their goals.”
CRG-USA - an official K1 RaceGear and MG Tires race team - still has spots open under the tent for the SKUSA SuperNationals XVI, set for November 14-18 in Las Vegas, NV.
