With a very successful start to the 2011 racing season, G-Phactory Kart Company will now look to continue their momentum as they are set to contest in the opening round of the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Pro Tour. With the first round taking place this weekend at the Musselman Honda Circuit in Tucson, Arizona, G-Phactory and Sodi Kart will enter four drivers as they look to start the Tour off strong.
"The Pro Tour is going to be something very big in 2011 and beyond," expressed G-Phactory Team Manager Preston Newberry. "SKUSA already has the biggest kart race in North America, if not the world, and their continued effort to help promote the sport has been second to none. We are happy to represent the Sodi Kart product line through out the entire Pro Tour."
Traveling to the Honda Racing /HPD SpringNationals, G-Phactory will enter four drivers in the high profile event. Looking to take control of the challenging thirteen corner circuit, two pilots will contest in the TaG Junior as Christian Munoz and Juan Jimenez will try and stand atop the podium. Hailing from Columbia, both drivers will contest the entire series as well as the prestigious SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas in November.
Long-time SKUSA competitor Howie Idelson will be back on track at the opening round of the series as he makes the switch to the ultra-competitive S4 division. Competing in the G1 class last year, Idelson will shift his efforts to the S4 Masters Stock Moto program in 2011 and make a run at the title.
Fellow Sodi Kart pilot Brandon Scheiber will compete with the North West Rack Karts/Hammer Nutrition Team in the S2 division. With drivers in three different classes, G-Phactory and Sodi Kart will look to start their 2011 national campaign with multiple race wins.
Newberry continued, "This season is not going to be an easy one. To win in any of these classes, drivers and teams are going to have to have their stuff together. With our development work over the recent months, and constant testing and customer support programs working well, we feel that we are in the best shape possible as we enter this portion of the season."
