The number 73 of Andrew Zimmer returns to NW Gold Cup competition as the Rotax International Senior Defending Champion. After an exciting 2010 season that saw a tough points battle for the championship, Zimmer has his sites set on pulling off “the repeat”. Driving a Top Kart in 2010, the #73 driver sports an all new look for 2011 as he joins forces with Team: Black Flag Racing, and pilots an all new Rotax powered Tony Kart .
If there was a learning curve for Zimmer as far as “new team - new chassis“ , It certainly wasn’t apparent at the season opener in Richland, WA. As he swept the weekend putting his Tony Kart on pole, winning both heats, and the feature.
