Region's Best Are Ready to Battle in Stars of PGP Kart Series Opener

Northwest karters: Are you ready to RACE? To find out how good you really are at stuffing it deep into a turn and screaming down the straights? To feel the triumph of stalking the driver ahead of you and pulling off the perfect pass?

If you answered “yes” to any of those questions you’re just like us, and that means the only place to be this weekend is PGP Motorsports Park for the opening round of the 2011 Stars of PGP Kart Series.

Another question for you karters: Are you ready to show up the drifters and SuperMoto riders who made their season-opening events last weekend at PGP incredibly huge successes? Those groups came out in force and ready to mix it up on the track — are you ready to show your pride and stay in stride?

All Stars of PGP Kart Series events are rain-or-shine and follow our tried-and-true schedule with practice, qualifying, heat races and a main event each day. To keep things moving classes will be combined, ensuring maximum seat time for all participants. Being in the seat and flying around PGP’s track is exactly where Northwest kart competitors want to be.

Don’t worry about packing a lunch on Saturday, either, because we’ll have a Food Court with plenty of delicious hot food provided by Simply The Best Catering.

And why not start your racing weekend on Friday with exclusive use of our state-of-the-art track for practice? Sure, we’ll let some rental karts get out there, too, but since we also have a Rental Kart class during Stars events you can put that time to good use by turning some laps in our Birel karts.

You can even stay at the track Friday night so you’ll be right here for Saturday’s opening round of the eight-race Stars of PGP Kart Series.

You’ll want any the extra edge you can get, too. First because the competition at PGP is the best in the region, but also because at stake is qualifying for a trip to the 2011 U.S. Rotax Max Challenge Grand Nationals July 19-23 at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooelle, Utah. PGP is proud to be the Rotax Max Challenge Series track in the Pacific Northwest.

Want more value? How about combining the Stars of PGP Kart Series with the visit to PGP by the I-5 Corridor Series on June 25-26 and Aug. 27-28? PGP regulars won’t have a problem taking part in the I-5 Series at Pat’s Acres Racing Complex either, because we haven’t scheduled any kart events on those dates.

Need even more track time? OK, we’ll be operating a new Wednesday night Motorsports event that will combine two kart classes (Shifter and Rotax) with Rental Karts, Supermoto, Drifting and timed SCCA-style Lap Attacks. A fast-paced, action-packed evening race with food vendors, beer gardens and spectators — yes, spectators — cheering on their favorites.

We will have live webcasts of all Stars of PGP Kart events provided by eventbuilder.com and accessible through a link on our website at www.PacificGP.com. We’ve made adjustments to make viewing events at PGP easier than any: just click on the link and watch. Events will also be available for “on demand” viewing after the fact by following the same link.
