The 2011 Pan American Rotax Max Challenge introduces a new age of Rotax Max racing in the Americas. As an official International Rotax Max Challenge, the Pan American RMC will provide an opportunity for Rotaxians from all over North, Central and South America, the Caribbean and indeed every country in the world, to compete against the best Rotax Max racers from the Americas at the incredible Pan Am Championship Event in September.
To qualify for the Pan Am Championship event, licensed Rotax Max racers must participate in a minimum of four official Pan Am RMC qualifying races. Properly licensed Rotaxians can participate in any official Pan American qualifying race, regardless of where the event is held.
The qualifying races lead to the incredible Pan Am Championship Event. Based on results from that event, seven Pan Am RMC competitors will be awarded coveted spots at the Rotax Grand Finals, where they will represent their country at “The Olympics of Karting” the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals.
OFFICIAL QUALIFYING SERIES
A minimum of 15 countries are expected to submit dates for official Pan Am qualifying races. All the information regarding those official qualifying series can be found at the official Pan American Rotax Max Challenge website at panamericanchallenge.com.
Dates and venues for the Eastern United States and Eastern Canadian qualifying races:
April 8-10 / Homestead Karting / Homestead, Florida (U.S. and Canadian drivers)
May 20-22 / Michiana Raceway Park / South Bend, Indiana (U.S. and Canadian drivers)
June 25 & 26 / Mosport International Raceway / Ontario, Canada (Canadian drivers only)
Dates and venues for the Western United States and Western Canadian qualifying races:
March 18-20 / Infineon Raceway / Sonoma, California (U.S. and Canadian drivers)
August 12-14 / The Track at Centennial / Denver, Colorado (U.S. and Canadian drivers)
May 20-22 / Greg Moore Raceway / Chillawack BC, Canada (Canadian drivers only)
PAN AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT
September 22-25, 2011 / New Castle Motorsports Park / New Castle, Indiana
The 2011 Pan American Championship Event is the pinnacle of Rotax Max racing in the Americas. Set to take place at one of the Americas premier karting facilities, the incredible New Castle Motorsports Park, located just outside Indianapolis, Indiana.
The 2011 Pan Am Championship Event format and tires will mirror the requirements of the 2011 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. Qualifying, a-b-c-d heat races, prefinal and final for each category. Parc Ferme will be used. Juniors will race on D1 tires.
This world class event will allow Rotaxians from all over the planet to showcase their talent and prepare themselves and their tuners for participation at “The Olympics of Kart Racing”, the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals.
Formula Kart Productions Pan Am LIVE!
Formula Kart Productions will live broadcast the Pan Am Championship Event, and select other Pan Am events, on Pan Am LIVE!, guaranteeing the events will be seen by tens-of-thousands of motorsports enthusiasts around the globe.
