The Championship Enduro Series, sanctioned by TAG Racing International, announces their 2011 event schedule. The new 2011 schedule is made up of 10 races at 5 tracks.
"We are very excited about the upcoming season," said President Dave Larson. "Our competitors will race at some of their favorite places along side some great groups of racers including RVKC (River Valley Kart Club) Badger Kart Club (BKC) and United States Super Karts (USSK)."
The 2011 season will see some changes as the program has moved to a two day race format and will no longer offer Friday as a practice day. The gates will open Friday at 6:00 pm for trailer drop, registration, pre-tech and camping. The format has been changed to save the racers practice costs and save the racers and staff a full travel day, lowering the expenses related to lodging, practice fees, tires, fuel and travel. CES has adopted the two day format that was implemented with great success at the 2010 season ending event at the Autobahn Country Club race facility.
The season starts at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Beloit, Wisconsin on June 4-5. This event will include the Badger Kart Club as a club point's event on June 5th. The series then moves to another traditional venue for the series when it rolls into a “newly repaved” Grattan Raceway in Grand Rapids, Michigan on July 16-17. The third event takes the series back to its home track of Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Beloit, Wisconsin on August 6-7. As in the past, this event will host the annual “Adam Schatz Benefit Team Race” on Saturday. The fourth event marks the series return to Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois, on August 27-28. The season finale will take place at Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, Michigan on September 24-25. This event weekend will also include the USSK competing both days as a points event for their series.
