The joint venture of IKF Region 7 and Gatorz Karting Cup announces the appointment of EP1K ProMotion as the administrator and promoter of the Cal State Karting Series for 2011. In this role, EP1K (pronounced ‘epic’) will spearhead the ongoing promotion of the series and its’ drivers and serve an event management role at all series races.
"Due to the fact that this new venture is a merger of two very different entities, we felt that it was best to find a neutral third party to help manage the series,” stated Andy Seesemann, owner of the Gatorz Karting Cup. “I am confident that EP1K will be professional and forthright in its management of the administrative and promotional aspects of the new Cal State Karting Series.”
EP1K ProMotion was selected for both its’ impressive background in motor sports and its’ current involvement in the racing industry. EP1K, along with parent company Driving Ventures, Inc., was established in 2002 as an event management and promotional services provider to the motor sports industry. Since its’ founding, EP1K has developed and/or managed racing programs for numerous clients including Formula BMW, Skip Barber Racing, Jim Russell USA, and Bullrun while also producing high performance driving events for Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, and Lexus among others.
“I look forward to launching this new series and building on the success and rich history of both IKF Region 7 and the Gatorz Karting Cup,” remarked Rob Niles, President of EP1K ProMotion. “My team and I are in the process of upgrading the series infrastructure and developing some exciting promotional programs that will bring considerable value to the racers.”
A new web site is in development and will be revealed soon. The site will serve as the official source of series information and will feature several enhanced features including online registration and members only discussion forums.
