As one of the leading karting entities in the United States Rotax Max market, Ocala Gran Prix (OGP) looks to get ahead of the game by offering engine overhaul services for the upcoming 2011 Florida Winter Tour. With a proven track record of having a championship winning team and customers at the front of the pack, OGP invites drivers from any team and any brand to send their motor in to be rebuilt and avoid the backlog later this month.
“I think there is a notion in the karting community that if you do not race with the OGP team or are not on the Tony Kart brand that you can’t have your motor built by us,” expressed Ocala Gran Prix’s President Jorge Arellano. “That is false as we invite everyone to send their motors to us and let us help you get to the front of the pack. It does not matter what team you race for or the brand of equipment you are on.”
Arellano continued, “Our engine building operation is a separate program from our race team and we treat it as so, because that is the only true way to make it succeed.”
With the 2011 Florida Winter Tour only six weeks away, Ocala Gran Prix urges customers looking to have a fresh motor for the new season send it to them as soon as possible. With the number of entries expected at the upcoming season, several drivers and teams will look to have last minute rebuilds done causing a backlog just after the holidays.
“It happens every year,” expressed OGP’s Kyle Kraus. “Once we start to get backlogged it is hard to complete the necessary preparation work in a timely manner. We pride ourselves in doing high work and are expecting a lot of rebuilds to come in very shortly so it is important that some of our customers look to get ahead of the game.”
