September 30, 2010 – Oliver Askew, an Ocala Gran Prix/Tony Kart driver, is pleased to announce the launching of his personal racing website, www.OliverAskew.com. The website was designed and constructed by Gary Osterholt of GO Designs (www.GODesigns.us). OliverAskew.com will be used to portray the karting career of the up and coming driver through user friendly web pages that will allow viewers to easily navigate the site and check on the progress of the young talent.
“The website is something that I hope will help people track my racing as well as attract the necessary sponsors to compete in the top levels of motorsports,” expressed Askew from his home in southern Florida. “Next year will be a big season for me as I will be competing in the Florida Winter Tour (FWT) as well as the Florida Karting Championship Series (FKCS) and other select events with the Ocala Gran Prix team.”
2010 has been an exciting season for Askew as a pair of championships at the FKCS program solidified him as one of the top junior drivers in Florida. In only his fourth year of karting, Askew has impressed the likes of industry professionals that have handpicked him to be a multi-time champion.
While claiming top honors in both the Rotax Junior and TaG Junior classes, Askew went on to claim the series Rookie-of-the-Year honors on the strength of eleven podium results in twelve main events. Askew made one trip outside the state of Florida to New Castle Motorsports Park for the Rotax Grand Nationals and proved that he has what it takes to run at the front of the pack. After topping one of the official timed sessions, Askew ran into some bad luck in the heat races before having a veteran like drive through the field in the main event.
Askew added, “I have a lot to learn in my next few years as a junior, but I am up for the challenge and know that I will do very well. To track my progress and keep up-to-date on news, results and photos please be sure to check my website often.”
