Rock Island Grand Prix Promo

ROCK ISLAND, ILL – The Rock Island Grand Prix, the world’s largest karting street race presented by AT&T, has announced a new partnership with the racing web site RacingIn.com, the first socially-themed web site devoted specifically to racing. This deal will not only benefit the partners, but potentially all participants in the Rock Island Grand Prix.

RacingIn.com and the Rock Island Grand Prix are giving every RIGP racer the opportunity to create their own FREE online Racing Pages to promote themselves, their racing, and their sponsors while sharing their racing successes with any race fan, anywhere!

“Through this unique partnership, the Rock Island Grand Prix becomes the very first stand-alone racing event to offer all of its racers not just an event-weekend profile, but their own online presence that will endure long after the Rock Island Grand Prix ends. It provides hundreds of racers the opportunity to interact with their fans and promote their sponsors in the future as well,” explained Scott Kosak, founder of RacingIn.com.

“This is a great opportunity not only for ‘The Rock,’ but for all of our drivers,” said Roger Ruthhart, president of the Rock Island Grand Prix. “This offers our friends and competitors some more ammunition in the never-ending chase for sponsors, as well as recognition and exposure for our sport. At the same time, we can also expose many kart racers, fans and supporters to the vast storehouse of information that RacingIn.com provides.”

Creation of their free Racing Pages is incredibly easy for racers and can be done by simply clicking on the RacingIn.com logo on the Sponsor landing page at www.rockislandgrandprix.com/sponsors.html or go directly to wwww.racingin.com/rigp.aspx . In less than 10 minutes, any racer can create their own Racing Pages that include a brief profile, a racing biography, and descriptions of their karts. Plus, every racer gets a complete photo gallery as well as a personal ‘Racing Forum’ where they can write about their racing and have it visible for race fans everywhere to read about!

More about RacingIn.com

“RacingIn.com was conceived more than 3 years ago as I was seeing the decrease in sponsorship revenue and ticket sales within major motorsports,” explained Kosak. “Working on that big stage had caused me to forget about the great racing I enjoyed at Stafford Motor Speedway in Connecticut and the thousands of local racers that race at tracks all over the United States every week. I saw that people weren’t forgetting about major motorsports, they simply had more difficulty enjoying them as the economy started to get more challenging, and on top of that, racers simply needed a better and cheaper way to promote themselves and interact with fans in the digital age.”

The early success of RacingIn.com is fulfilling his expectations as, every week, thousands of race fans are reviewing not just large super speedway profiles, but also the profiles of more than 1,000 different race tracks as they search for local racing on ovals, drag strips and road courses across the United States. In addition, in just 10 short months, more than 800 racers from all over the world have created their own Racing Pages gaining additional exposure for their racing and for their sponsors as RacingIn.com re-distributes their content to a rapidly growing network of friends, fans, and followers through various mainstream social media networks.

“This partnership not only puts the Rock Island Grand Prix races out there with all forms of motorsports for race fans across the country to learn about, but it also offers a great opportunity for Rock Island Grand Prix racers to get free exposure for themselves, their sponsors and their race teams”, said Ruthhart.

This year’s Rock Island Grand Prix is Sept. 3-5 and features 15 race classes for 4-cycle, 2-cycle, TAG and shifter kart racers. The $25,000 purse is sponsored by Jumer’s Casino & Hotel. More information and online entry can be found at RockIslandGrandPrix.com.
