PGP Plans 2nd Rental Kart Enduro Aug 4

7/29/2010

The inaugural Rental Kart Enduro at PGP Motorsports Park was so popular, so much fun for the drivers involved, the Northwest's premier multi-purpose racing facility is going to do all it again at 6 p.m. next Wednesday, Aug. 4.

Once again the field is limited to the first 20 teams registering using the form below. Teams can consist of one, two or three drivers, minimum age 15, with a special price break for single-person IronMan/Woman teams.

Teams will compete in two classes, multi-person and IronMan/Woman, with the winners being the team in each class that completes the most laps in 90 minutes. The top three teams in each class will be recognized at the end of the night with each driver receiving a trophy.

The PGP Enduro will consist of two 30-minute races, one clockwise and the other counter-clockwise, on the full .82-mile track, and a final 30-minute session on the South Long Track. Kart assignments will be made based on a random draw, with new karts assigned after each segment. The field will be inverted based on a random draw.

There will be a mandatory drivers meeting at 5:45 p.m., with racing starting promptly at 6 p.m. Cost per person is based on number of drivers on the team:

Three-person team driver: $50 member, $60 non-member
Two-person team driver: $75 member, $85 non-member
One-person team: $125 member, $135 non-member
Rental kart events are rain or shine and are open to the public with no prior racing experience or competition license required. You show up ready to experience the thrill of racing and PGP provides the rest -- the kart, fuel, tires, helmet and a venue that was recently named a Best Destination in the King 5 Evening Magazine Best of Western Washington contest.
