“TaG Senior driver currently sits second in overall point standings”

July 20, 2010 – Miinch Motorsports driver Taylor Miinch will park his ASA Speed Truck this weekend and jump back behind the wheel of his Top Kart chassis to compete in the third round of the WSK North American Series by CKI. Doing battle in the TaG Senior division, Miinch currently sits second in the overall series points chase and will look to build on the success from the last round in Phoenix.

“We had a very tough outing at the opening round in New Castle but gained some valuable points at the second event in Phoenix,” expressed Miinch. “I love the New Jersey track and am confident that we can come away with some strong results that will help our position towards the end of the year championship.”

After starting the season with a fifth and third place results at the New Castle Motorsports Park facility in May, Miinch was back to his winning ways at the PKRA track in Phoenix as he was at the front of the field throughout the weekend. Utilizing a P1 Engines powered Steven Barros prepared Top Kart, Miinch stole the show by claiming a second place result on Saturday and stood atop the podium on Sunday for his first series win of 2010.

Miinch continued, “I have not been in a kart a lot this year but when I have been, I’ve contested for wins. I am very confident heading into New Jersey that we can take the checkers yet again. Working with my tuner Steven Barros and engine builder P1 Engines, we have formed a very good team that can challenge for podiums at any given weekend. We will have to be on top of our game at the technical New Jersey facility.”

Official event practice will get under way this Friday morning with two complete race days on the docket for Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned to www.TaylorMiinch.com and www.ChampionshipKartRacing.com for up-to-date news, video, photos, results and point standings.
