Phil Giebler Racing has entered four drivers including points leaders Phil
Giebler and Noah Grey in the Mothers Polish SummerNationals this weekend
(July 16-18) at USA International Raceway in Shawano, Wis., the second stop of
the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour championship.
Giebler, of Huntington Beach, Calif., leads the TaG Senior class over
Gregory Liefooghe, 545-441. The 2007 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year won both main
events at the season’s opening-round SpringNationals at Infineon Raceway in
Sonoma, Calif., on April; 17-18. Grey, of Dana Point, Calif., has a 515-490
lead over Colton Herta in the TaG Cadet class for ages eight through 12. Grey
had one win and was second in the main events at Infineon.
Steve Wiener of San Diego, in the 35-and-older TaG Masters class, and Tate
Holleran of Denver, in TaG Cadet, will also drive for PGR in the
SummerNationals. It will be their first event with the team.
“There will be some heavy hitters showing up from the Midwest and East
Coast,” Giebler said. “There will be quite a few of the same people from
Infineon. It’s going to be a hard weekend. You’re going to need the complete
package, driver, kart and motor, to have a successful weekend
“I feel really strong about my chances. I know the track and we’ve been

Giebler and Wiener will be driving FA Karts powered by 125cc water-cooled
Vortex Racing engines built by Daniel Patino’s D-Power Engines of Huntington
Beach, Calif. Grey and Holleran also have FA Karts and they’re powered by
60cc Vortex MiniRok engines. All four drivers will be on MG Tires. The
FA-Vortex-MG package was prepared at the Phil Giebler Racing shop in Orange,
Calif., and traveled by transporter to the event.
After practice on Friday, there are full racing programs on Saturday and
Sunday with qualifying, two heat races and a main event on both days. Points
are awarded for heats, main events, pole and fastest lap in the main.
The third and final round of the SKUSA Pro Tour, the USA SuperNationals,
will be held Nov. 17-21 in Las Vegas.
