The weather isn’t the only thing heating up in Western Washington as rental kart pilots at PGP Motorsports Park now have two special events to look forward to next week.
Things start off with the Wednesday Warrior 3-For-All rental kart race on Wednesday, July 14 at the region’s premier multi-purpose motorsports facility, followed by the second-ever appearance of a rental kart class in the Stars of PGP Series event on Saturday, July 17.
The Wednesday Warrior 3-For-All event will give drivers the chance to experience three different configurations of PGP’s asphalt track in one night, with the Practice session on the full .82-mile track, Heat 1 run on the South Long Concourse and Heat 2 on the North Long Concourse, followed by the Final on the full track. The event is open to new drivers and no racing experience is necessary. The minimum age is 15, or 12 with a PGP Competitive License.
Registration for the 3-For-All closes at 6 p.m. that day, with a mandatory drivers meeting at 6:15 p.m. and racing starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $85 for PGP Recreational and Competitive License holders and $95 for non-members. Racing at PGP is always rain or shine.
Taking part in 3-For-All is a great way to prepare for the next Stars of PGP event on July 17, just the second time there will be a rental kart category as part of the exclusive-to-PGP series. Prior racing experience is required for the Stars of PGP event.
Rental kart racing at PGP is a great opportunity for both newcomers and experienced pilots to experience the thrill and excitement of racing inches off the ground — without a hefty price tag. Show up ready to experience the thrill of racing inches off the ground and PGP provides the rest — the kart, fuel, tires, helmet and a venue that was recently named a Best Destination in the KING 5 Evening Magazine Best of Western Washington contest.
