Pat's Commits to Rotax Racing...

2/5/2010

2010 Rotax PARC press release:

Pats Acres Racing Complex (PARC) in Canby Oregon, is excited to announce a rekindled partnership with the Rotax Max Challenge Series Racing program. As a result, all kart racing events at PARC, for the 2010 racing season, will offer the Rotax Max Challenge Series (RMCS) classes and format. All 5 PARC rounds of the 2010 Oregon State Karting Championship Series (OSKCS) and the 4 rounds of the I-5 Corridor Racing Series will offer classes governed by official RMSC rules and format. Rotax competitors competing in these races at PARC will be eligible for “punches”, which are required to participate in the US Rotax Grand Nationals held each year.

“We have backed the Rotax program for a long time here at PARC. We even ran the first RMCS in this region dating back to 2000”, states Chris Egger, PARC owner. “One of Rotax’s strong points is that the program is so big, 5 guys can’t get together in a pizza parlor on a Thursday night and change it up.” The Rotax Max Challenge Series program offers a kind of stability that is refreshing in a sport plagued by constant change.

A total of 5 classes will run at PARC in the Rotax class structure for 2010. Rotax Micro Max, Mini Max, Rotax Jr, Rotax Sr, and Rotax Masters will be offered in both the OSKCS and the I-5 Corridor Series and be run strictly by official RMCS rules.
By making the RMCS program part of the entire racing program at PARC for 2010, both the local racer and the regional level racers have a solid place to race this year. PARC is a certified Rotax Service Center which offers sales, service, and repairs for Rotax FR125 engines on sight. PARC offers a full service shop with parts available trackside and unbeatable trackside support.

The following race dates are official RMCS dates at PARC in 2010:
March 14th OSKCS #1
April 11th OSKCS #2
May 15-16 I-5 Corridor Series #1 and #2
June 27th OSKCS #5
August 15th OSKCS #7
Sept.11-12th I-5 Corridor Series #7 and #8
Sept. 26th OSKCS #9

As a result of this partnership, all competitors running in either series at PARC will be required to obtain a USRMC Club Rotax membership. This years membership fee has been reduced to $35 with many other additional value added features. These memberships are available at PARC on site, or at www.rotaxmaxchallenge.com.
