"Event to take place in May between NASCAR All-Star Race and Coca Cola 600"
April 21, 2014 – MAXSpeed Group, one of the world’s top Rotax MAX distributors, has stepped up to the plate to help support the Racing4Vets Veteran Kart Challenge event that will take place at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina. With a team relay event format that will feature some of the top drivers in the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide, Camping World Truck, K&N Pro Series and Whelen Modified Tour in high performance karts, the race is sure to be a hit and a great way to help out a good cause.
Taking place Monday, May 19th from 5:00pm until 10:15pm between the annual NASCAR All-Star Race (May 17) and the Coca Cola 600 (May 25) at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, the two-hour team relay event will be the first annual Racing4Vets Veteran Kart Challenge to benefit Service-Disabled US Military Veterans.
Steve Lewis, promoter of the Racing4Vets event explained, “The race will be broadly publicized across multiple online, social media, radio, PR and print channels, reaching over 5 million consumers. An additional 2,500 race fans will visit the track for a chance to race karts with their favorite NASCAR driver. Racing4Vets assisted over 120 service-disabled veterans in 2013, with over 500 veterans expected to participate in our programs in 2014. The money raised from the Racing4Vets Veteran Kart Challenge will provide funding that goes directly to helping service-disabled veterans and their families.”
“There are a lot of activities going on during the Racing4Vets event and one of them is the raffle,” explained MAXSpeed Group’s Richard Boisclair. “Always willing to help out a good cause, we donated a complete Rotax MAX Engine to go on a kart that will be given away during the event.
