MG Tires, Smak Plastics, Nitro Radish, CMC and Kart-O-Rama have all stepped up to support the 2014 IKF Region 6 Gold Cup Sprint and Road Race Series. The Gold Cup Road Race and Sprint Series have been the corner stone of Karting history in the Northwest and continue to do so in impressive fashion. The Northwest Gold Cup, Member Clubs, businesses and individuals have throughout the 40 year history of the Gold Cup Series have always worked together to give the karter a well organized, affordable and highly competitive series that have been the outlining structure of other race series in the country.
The 2014 season series will see an added boost to the already popular series with the added sponsorship of 2 pro classes. World Formula Heavy and Rotax Senior. The incentives should make for some additional great racing action in these two popular classes by adding some cash incentives not only for those who win but for the other participants too. Both Nitro Radish and Smak Plastics are guarantying over $4000.00 each for the series. In addition to the $400 First place each day, all other competitors in the class, will be given the opportunity to win a $200.00 plus cash prize. How it works is simple; Just enter for the cash incentive and your name will be among the racers eligible to be drawn for the cash awards. The more entries in the Smak Plastics Rotax Pro, Nitro Radish World Formula Pro classes the more cash winners at each race.
MG tires the NW Gold Cup Series sponsor for over 3 years will be back again in 2014 as the official spec tire for the series. MG will be adding to the Yearend awards with Tire give aways to eligible classes. Along with MG Tires, KART-O-Rama, CMC, and others are adding the total series purse and awards.
Kart –O-Rama has committed to $500.00 year end participation purse for the Briggs LO 206 class. Every time you enter Briggs LO 206 Senior Class your name will be included in the year end drawing at the Gold Cup awards banquet of 5 $100 cash awards.
The season opener starting off at Sumas International Motorsports Academy April 4-6 will be one of the 5 events for the Sprint Series. SIMA short for Sumas International Motorsports Academy is putting the finishing touching on the facility for the start of the season. Situated in heart of dairy country bordering the Washington and Canadian boarder the SIMA complex boasts of being the newest Kart Racing facility in the Northwest.
The track is designed to run in three different configurations, in which the Gold Cup race will run in the Full Course configuration. Equipped with member rentable garages, kart storage and the Italian Motors on-
