December 12, 2013 – After a stellar 2013 racing season, motorsports sensation Devlin DeFrancesco is set to take on the karting world. Looking to compete against the best drivers that the world has to offer, DeFrancesco has joined Morsicani Racing and will enter several European karting events in the 2014 season. As a partner team to the factory Tony Kart squad, Morsicani Racing is the reigning KF-Junior World Championship winning team and will be fully behind repeating their success with DeFrancesco.
"I am excited to join Morsicani Racing and extremely grateful for the opportunity," explained Devlin. "The team has been very successful and I can't wait to begin my work with them. They have loads of knowledge and experience that is shown through their results and I think we will be a great fit and strong contenders in 2014 and beyond."
Coming off a season that saw Morsicani Racing driver Leonard Pulcini claim the KF-Junior CIK-FIA World Karting Championship, the Italian based squad is set to attack 2014. With Pulcini leaving the division, DeFrancesco enters the team and will be the number one driver in the junior category.
DeFrancesco added, "There are some big shoes to full but I am up to for the challenge. Morsicani is known throughout Europe for progressing drivers to the next level and I hope to help them continue their upward trend."
Based out of Latina, Italy, DeFrancesco will start an extensive training and testing program to prepare him for the 2014 racing season. DeFrancesco, along with his new Morsicani Racing team plans to compete in CIK FIA European Championship, WSK SuperMasters Series, European Winter Cup and Italian Championship.
